Can anyone help me to connect Emma Lindquist born in Illinois about 1888? Parents I believe to be John and Christine Lindquist born in Sweden. The 1900 Census of Bureau Co, Shelby Dist 26 list children of John and Christine as sons Oscar born sweden, Victor born Illinois, Son Ollie born Illinois, son Edward born Illinois and daughters Lena born Sweden, Emma born Illinois, and Alta born Illinois.
Emma married Thomas Hayden Lyng born in Missouri but of Irish parentage.
Emma and Thomas had 5 boys total, James, Victor, Joseph, Charles and Richard all of them were left in orphan homes, the first 3 at one time just after 1912 and the last 2 around 1920. Victor died at age 7 in White Hall Childrens Home, the others were put into homes as foster children or adopted into individual homes, none knew the other boys.
I would like to find anyone related to this Lindquist or Lyng family.
Any information pertaining to any of these people would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the help ahead of time and for this wonderful message board.

Correction to the Lindquist Family Line message:
I made a mistake on the names of the children of Emma Lindquist and Thomas Lyng, the names James and Victor are the same child, (first and middle name) the next child is Thomas Edward, and then Joseph.
Charles was adopted by a family by the name Swanson and Richard lived with the Witkop family.

There are over 2000 Lindquist´s in the CD-Rom Emigranten Populär.

If you know where they settled and which year J and C and their 2 children emigrated maybe I can find them, for you

My grandmother was Hilma Lindquist. Born 1879. I believe her parents were John and Magdalena Lindquist. I don't know much more-if this is any help.

Joan Johnson, President of TAHS, owns the Lindquist farm. There were two boys and one girl. The boys never had children. The girl, Myrtle (I think) married Sivert Pierson. I was told that there are no living Lindquist's left, so the next link is the Pierson line.

You can contact Joan @ garyjoan@thewisp.net if you have other questions. Hioe this is helpful.
