Denise, I have this picture that is bugging me to no end because I can't identify the old gentleman, Mr. Latham. The card is sent to Mrs. Washington Thomas by a Chas. Latham and he calls her "sister" and speaks of Doc. Bennett, who seems to know Sarah Thomas very well. Sarah Thomas's maiden name was Bennett. The transcription of the card is as follows: Chas. Latham Plano, Ill Dear Sister i have been in Tennisee all winter. Just got home. Doc. Bennett is here now. he said tomorrow was your birthday. i will send you one of our cardes. (Mr.?)
