HEINTZELMAN, Vernon Edward, 54, of 1400 Swarney Ave., died Sunday at a horse corral at 1620 Russell Ave. Born Aug. 14, 1915, in Illinois. Stock room clerk. Residen 12 years. Survived by his wife, Charma of Las Vegas, a son, John of Beloit, Wis.; two daughters, Susie Funk of Coquille, Oreg., and Sharol Molland of Gilment, Wis.; three stepsons, Earl R. Harris R. and Paul A. Murry; a stepdaughter, Monia Stout, all of Las Vegas, and two sisters, Mrs. Viola Buckley and Mrs. Bernadine Kunkle of Coquelle, Ore. Services 10 a.m. Wednesday, 5th Ward LDS Chapel. Eighth and Franklin Sts. with Bishops Kendall Jones officiating. Burial at Paradise Gardens.
Sharol writes: "There was some confusion when my dad died. He had been out to the stables to exercise his horse and he was found on the ground beside the horse. He actually died of a massive heart attack. He was 54. About six years before that he had a massive heart attack and was lucky to have survived it."
OBITUARY - Las Vegas, Vernon Edward Heintzelman - Funeral services are planned for tomorrow at 10 a.m. for Vernon Edward Heintzelman, who died Sunday at 1620 Russell. The ceremony will be conducted by Bishop Kendall Jones of the 5th Ward LDS Chapel with burial in Paradise Gardens.
Born Aug. 14, 1915 in Illinois, Mr. Heintzelman has been in this city since 1958. He lives at 1400 Sweeney.
He is survived by his wife, Charma, of Las Vegas; daughters, Susie Funk, Coquille, Ore., Shoral (sic)Molland, Gillmont, Wisc.; stepdaughter, Monja (sic) Stout, of this city; stepsons, Earl, Harris and Paul Murray, all of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Viola Buckley and Bernadine Kunkle, Coquille.
Mr. Heintzelman was a veteran of World War II.
Former Resident Dies June 7
Word was received of the June 7 death of Vernon Edward Heintzelman, 54, a former Coquille residnet.
Heintzelman had been a residnet of Las Vegas for the past 12 years, but had formerly lived in Coquille, where he raised his family. He was a member of the Myrtle Point Saddle Club an was a World War II veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Charma of Las Vegas; a son, John of Beloit, Wis.; two daughters, Susie Funk of Coquille, and Sharol Molland of Gillmont, Wis.; three stepsons, Earl R. Harris, and Paul A. Murry; a stepdaughter, Monia Stout, all of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Mrs. Viola Buckley and Mrs. Bernadine Knkle of Coquille.
