PROPHETSTOWN -- Florence M. Olson, 97, of Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center, Prophetstown, died Thursday, May 15, 2008, at the nursing home. She employed by Eclipse Lawn Mower Co., Prophetstown, as a receptionist for 27 years.

Mrs. Olson was born June 2, 1910, in Thomson, the daughter of Hans and Margaret (Leuders) Gehlsen. She married Elmer Olson on Sept. 27, 1952, in Prophetstown. He preceded her in death on April 8, 1976. She was a member of First Congregational Church of Christ, Prophetstown.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters.

The funeral is at 1 p.m. Monday at First Congregational Church of Christ, Prophetstown, with the Rev. Andy Ploenzke, pastor, officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery, Prophetstown. Visitation is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the church. Arrangements were completed by Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home, Prophetstown.

A memorial has been established to First Congregational Church of Christ, Prophetstown.
