Glen Wildemuth Rites Wednesday
Prophetstown: - Glen D. Wildemuth, 74, 205 Douglas St., Prophetstown, died Monday morning at his home following an illness of several months.
Funeral services are set to be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church with the Rev. C. A. Anger officiating. Burial will be in St. Catherine's Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at Gardner Chapel from 7 to 9 p.m Tuesday, and the rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
Glen Wildemuth was born March 2, 1901 in Dudenville, Mo., the son of William and Lena Salow Wildemuth. He was educated in Annawan schools and was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Prophetstown. He married Grace Egert of Henry County at St. Mary's Church, Hooppole on Nov. 30, 1922. They farmed in the Geneseo, Atkinson and Prophetstown communities before retiring in November 1971.
Survivors include his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Robert E. (Grace) Loftus of Geneseo; three sons, Dale of Prophetstown, Ivan of Geneseo and Clarence of Blue Grass, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two brothers, Albert of Cambridge and Melvin (Bud) of Geneseo.
