Emily Marie Reid Dies On Sunday
Prophetstown: - Emilie Marie Reid, 77, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 25, in East Moline, after several years of failing health.
She was born May 23, 1889 in Holland, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter DeSplinter. She married James Leonard Reid of Annaway in Annawan on Dec. 29, 1910. They lived in this community since 1912. She was a member of the St. Catherine Church in Prophetstown.
She is survived by her husband, one brother, Chris Anderson of Los Angeles, Calif., two sisters, Mrs. Emma Roman and Mrs. Clara Lempke, both of Prophetstown and also a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister.
Rosary will be recited at the Gardner Chapel on Wednesday evening Dec. 28, at 7:30 p.m. Friends may call at the Chapel on Wednesday afternoon and evening. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning, Dec. 29, at 10 a.m. in St. Catheerine Church with the Rev. Cletus Anger officiating. Burial will be in St. Catherine Cemetery in Prophetstown.
