Harvey J. Bush
Harvey J.Bush, 71, Erie, IL passed away Monday, June 16, 2008 at OSF St. Anthony’s Medical Center, Rockford, IL. Funeral services were held Friday, June 20 at Ebenezer Reformed Church, Morrison, IL with Rev. Phillip Stel, associate pastor of Ebenezer Reformed Church officiating. Burial was in Lyndon Township Cemetery, Lyndon, IL. A memorial has been established to the Ebenezer Reformed Church.
Harvey was born October 19, 1936 in Morrison, IL to Dick J> and Willemina (Vos) Bush. He attended the rural Whiteside County grade schools and Erie and Morrsion, IL high schools. He married Roberta Deelsnyder on June 20, 1858 in Fulton, IL. She survives.
He farmed along with wife and family in rural Erie, IL area his entire life. He was a member of the Ebenezer Reformed Church, Morrison, IL. He was the Fenton and Erie Drainage District Director, Member of the Whiteside County Farm Bureau, and the Florida Flywheelers Club. He enjoyed collecting and restoring antique tractors, and spending time at his lake with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Roberta; one daughter, Debra (Mrs. Tony) Szabo, Morrison, IL; three sons, Tim (Patty) Bush, Erie, IL, Gary (Denise) Bush, Lyndon, IL, Alan Bush, Erie, IL; ten grandchildren, Jeremy (Abby) Bush, Scott Bush, Lucas (Kara) Bush, Josh (Ericka Pearson) Bush, Marcus (Noel LeMaster) Bush, Gregory Bush, Megan, Emily, and Anna Szabo; three great grandchildren; one sister, Harriet (Mrs. Donald) VanDerLeest, Morrison, IL.
He was predeceased by his parents.
