PAULINE (Coffee) MITCHELL ROUSH
Prophetstown: - Mrs. Pauline Roush, 54, RR 1, Prophetstown, died early this morning in Moline Public Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday in the Gardner Chapel and afterwards the body will be taken to LaGrange, Ky., for further services and burial. Visitation will be on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial has been established in her memory.
Pauline Roush was born on May 9, 1928 in Salyersville, Ky., the daughter of Richard and Geneva Holbrook Coffee. She was educated in Kentucky. In 1945 she married Archie Mitchell of Carlyle, Ky. He preceded her in death in 1967. On Apr. 4, 1977, she married Layton Roush of Muscatine, Iowa, in Wise, Va. They moved to the Prophetstown community in 1981 where she was employed as nurses aide at the Prophets Riverview Center.
Surviving are her husband; mother, Geneva Coffee, Salyersville, Ky., one daughter, Mrs. Dwight (Kathy) Amery, Prophetstown; one son, Richard Mitchell, Kentucky; three stepdaughters, Dixie Tompkins and Jean Sultzberger, both of Muscatine and Linda Dolquist, Cherokee, Ark; three stepsons, Dean Roush, moulton, Mo., Richard Roush, Moscow, Iowa, and Jerry Roush, Prescott, Ariz.; one sister, Patty Patrick, Salyersville, Ky.; three brothers, Curtis Coffee and Eddie Coffee, Slayersville and Willard Coffee, Plains City, Ohio and 12 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father and first husband.
