TAMPICO -- Belva J. Maxfield, 83, formerly of Tampico, died Monday, April 14, 2008, at Heritage Manor, Bloomington.

BLOOMINGTON - Belva J. Maxfield, 83, of Bloomington, formerly of Tampico, died Monday, April 14, 2008, at Heritage Manor, Bloomington.
Mrs. Maxfield was born Sept. 7, 1924, in Prophetstown, the daughter of George and Julia (Wallgren) Lancaster. She married Robert Perry Maxfield in Tampico. He preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 1985. She was a member of Tampico Methodist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Lana (David) Ebeling, of Owatonna, Minn., Laurel (John) Wolber, of Bloomington, Libby Stevenson, of Milton, Del., and Maria (Jeffrey) Lihs, of Lone Tree, Iowa; a son, David (Kathy) Maxfield, of Lakeville, Minn.; two sisters, Mary Day, of Newton, Iowa, and Alene Chewning, of Conrad, Mont.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Stanley and Phyllis Maxfield of Morrison; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Richard and Leroy; a sister, Charlotte Lancaster; and a son-in-law, Kenney Stevenson.
The funeral is at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Tampico United Methodist Church with the Rev. Monty Fox, pastor, officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery, Prophetstown. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Garland Funeral Home, Tampico.
A memorial has been established to Tampico United Methodist Church.
