PROPHETSTOWN - Larry Kenneth Majeski, 71, of Prophetstown, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, at CGH Medical Center. He was in the insurance business for 48 years.



Mr. Majeski was born Feb. 9, 1937, in Morrison, the son of Donald Fayette and Elaine (Olinger) Majeski. He married Patricia Ann Calderone on Sept. 26, 1958, in Sterling.



Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Lori (Tim) Smith of Prophetstown; four sons, Dan (Susan) Majeski of Erie, Troy Majeski of Wheaton, Darren (Bobi Jo) Majeski of Prophetstown, and Greg (Barbara) Majeski of Sterling; three sisters, Audrey Majeski Lindskog of Prophetstown, Donna Majeski Aguilar of Sterling, and Jean Majeski of Chicago; a brother, Arnold Majeski of Prophetstown; and 12 grandchildren.



The funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Congregational Church, Prophetstown, with the Rev. Andy Ploenzke, pastor, officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery, Prophetstown. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Arrangements were completed by Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling.



A memorial has been established to Prophetstown Ambulance Services.
