Doris Kilberg

TAMPICO - Doris Irene Kilberg, 89, of Tampico, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at Four Seasons Living Center, Morrison. She was employed by Tampico Grade School as a secretary for 23 years, retiring in May 1981.
Mrs. Kilberg was born Nov, 26, 1919, in Ipswich, S.D., the daughter of Edward R. and Freda (Maring) Buikema. She married Marion Harvey Gaskill on Aug. 5, 1944. He preceded her in death on April 26, 1970. She married Karl E. Kilberg on October 12, 1973. He preceded her in death on March 21, 1994. She was a member of Tampico First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Terry (Lorraine) Gaskill and Dennis (Josephine) Gaskill, both of Tampico, and Rick (Rhonda) Gaskill of Grafton, Wis.; three stepsons, Karl W. (Beth) Kilberg, Donald (Shirley) Kilberg, and James E. Kilberg, all of Sterling; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; and 13 step-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and four sisters.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Saturday at Tampico First United Methodist Church. Burial is at Tampico Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Arrangements were completed by Garland Funeral Home, Tampico.
A memorial has been established to Tampico First United Methodist Church.
