Adrian Hunsberger, Prophetstown Business Man, Succumbs Today
 
Prophetstown: - Adrian Hunsberger, 57, owner and operator of the Gamble Store in Prophetstown since 1941, died early Saturday morning at the Veterans Hospital in Iowa City.  His business had been closed early this year because of failing health.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. in the Congregational (United Church of Christ) Church in Prophetstown with the Rev. A. Dean Lundstrom officiating.
Friends may call at the Gardner Chapel in Prophetstown on Sunday from 2 until 4 in the afternoon and from 7 until 9 p.m.  A memorial has been established.
Mr. Hunsberger was born Aug. 19, 1912 in Rock Falls, the son of Alvin R. and Martha (Cohenour) Hunsberger. He attended Rock Falls schools, was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post 522 in Prophetstown.  He was a member of the Congregational Church of Prophetstown. On June 15, 1941, he married Donna Piper in Princeton, and they managed the Gamble Store in Prophetstown all of their married life.
Survivors include eight brothers: Harold, Frank, Glen, Clifford, all of Sterling; and Bertram, George, Robert and Leo of Rock Falls; four sisters, Mrs. Carl (Leola) Boehm, Mrs. June Friel, both of Rock Falls; Mrs. Roger (Grace) Marshal and Mrs. Robert (Doris) Grim of Louiville, Ky.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
