Funeral At Tampico For Mrs. Lydia D. France On Sunday Afternoon
 
Tampico: - Funeral services for Mrs. Lydia Ellen Dow France was held Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Parent chapel in Tampico, Rev. Hollis Wharton, pastor of the Methodist church of Walnut, officiated. 
 
The many floral tokens were in charge of Mrs. George Stevens, Mrs. Richard Kelly and Mrs. Linnie Shere.
 
Burial was in the Tampico Memorial Cemetery with A. E. Bennett, William Furry, H. J. Kolb, Frank West, Boline Olson and Harry Rice serving as pallbearers.
 
Lydia Ellen Dow France, daughter of Thomas and Margaret Dow, was born in Fairfield township March 31, 1869 and attended schoool in that community.
 
On October 20, 1890 she married Fred W. France at Indianola, Nebr.  They lived on the France farm in Hume township for the first seven years following their marriage and then moved to Tampico.
 
Mr. France passed away Feb. 13, 1937.  For some years Mrs. France continued to live in her home in Tampico.  As her health failed she made her home near her son Leroy in Dixon, and later in the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs. Edwin Temple of Tampico, where she passed away Thursday, March 29.
 
Besides her son and daughter, she is survived by nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Eliza Myers of Pequot, Minn.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Kathleen Dotts who died May 24, 1945; three sisters, Lucy, Eunice and Dora; and three brothers, Seward, Chester and Lincoln.
