WILHELMINA (Sachjen) SANDROCK
Mrs. Minnie Sandrock Succumbs Monday
Propheststown: - Mrs. Minnie Sandrock, 89, passed away Monday evening at the Prophets Riverview Center, after being in failing health for some time.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Immanual Evangelical Church, Rock Falls, the Rev. E. A. Henrichs officiating, with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Prophetstown. Friends may call Wednesday afternoon and evening at the Gardner Funeral Chapel, Prophetstown. A memorial has been established for the Immanuel Lutheran Chruch.
Wilhelmina (Minnie) Sachjen was born Feb. 8, 1879, in Jordan Township, Sterling, the daughter of Wilkie and Anna Schultz Sachjen. She was educated in the Wallace School, Sterling. She married Charles Sandrock at her home in Sterling on Oct. 14, 1897. Their married life was spent on a farm near Woodard's Bluff near Hooppole. They lived 25 years on a farm east of Prophetstown and in 1928 moved to Prophetstown. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Ladiies Aid and Social Circle.
She is survived by one son, Alfred Sandrock of Rock Falls; three daughters, Mrs. William (Mary) Ufkin of Rock Falls; Mrs. Clyde (Darlene) Nelson, Rock Falls; Mrs. Walter (Emma) Plautz, Wheaton, Minn.; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Bernice Sandrock of Prophetstown; nine grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents, husband in 1943, two sons, Ernest and Fred Sandrock; two brothers, Carl and Wilkie Sachjen; granddaughter, Doris; two grandsons, LeRoy and DeWayne
