ALMA  THERESA  (Teske)  STRIKE
Mrs. Alma Strike Succumbs Today

Mrs. Alma Theresa Strike, 88, Tampico, died this morning at Rock Falls Colonial Acres Nursing Home. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Yorktown, with Pastor Joel G. Rustad officiating. Burial will be in Yorktown Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Schmitt Chapel, Tampico, after 2 p .m. Sunday. 

Alma Theresa Strike was born Nov. 1, 1883, in Staesseldsdorf, Germany, the daughter of Gustav and Henrietta Teske.  She came to the United States at the age of one with her parents, and the family settled in the New Bedford area, later moving to the Yorktown area.  She was married Nov. 26, 1903, to William Strike at the home of her parents, and the couple then farmed in the Yorktown and Tampico areas until 1942, when they moved into Tampico. 

Mrs. Strike was a charter member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Yorktown, a member of the Ladies Aid Society of that church and a 50-year member of the Royal Neighbors of America. 

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Albert (Lena) Pratt, Sterling;  three sons, Fred, Waverly, Iowa;  Otto, at home, and Leo of Rock Falls; two brothers, Otto Teske, Rock Falls, and Harry Teske, Manlius;  a sister, Mrs. Emma Beck, Rockford, along with 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband on July 7, 1954, her parents, two sisters and two brothers.  Memorials may be directed to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Yorktown.
