Miss Elizabeth Cooney Passes Away Friday 

Tampico: - Miss Elizabeth Cooney passed away early Friday in St. Francis Hospital in Freeport.  She had been residing at St. Joseph's Home in Freeport for the past three years. She was born Aug. 25, 1886, the daughter of Thomas and Bridget Gately Cooney in Tampico. She never married. 

Surviving is one brother, P. J. Cooney of 303 W. 6th St., Sterling. 

She was preceded in death by six brothers, Walter, William, Michael, Thomas, John and Peter and four sisters, Mary Barrett, Frances Parrish, Catherine and Margaret. 

Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Church in Tampico at 9:30 a.m. Monday. Friends may call after 8 a.m. Sunday at the Schmitt Chapel in Tampico. The Rosary will be recited at 2 p.m. Sunday.
