Ellen Hansen Dies Friday 

Tampico: - Mrs. Ellen M. Hansen, 86, of Tampico, died Friday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Donna Davenport of Moline. 

Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Monday at the First Lutheran Church in Prophetstown with the Rev. L.S. Anderson, officiating. Burial will be in the

Tampico Memorial Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Schmitt Chapel in Tampico from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday evening. A memorial has been established. 

Mrs. Hansen was born Aug. 19, 1889 in Greenville Township, Ill., the daughter of Walter Delos and Rachel Ida Wipple. She received her education in the Bureau County Schools.  She was married to James F. Hansen on Feb. 15, 1911 in Princeton and they farmed in the Tampico area most of their lives, retiring in 1957.  She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Prophetstown. 

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Herman (Aldien) Hinton of Tampico, Mrs. Amiel (Lucille) Roseling of Manlius, Mrs. Howard (Donna) Davenport of Moline, and Mrs. Dean (Doris) Verdick of Tampico; 19 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; two sisters, Mrs. August Carlson of Prophetstown and Mrs. Ed Carlson of Chadwick; and one brother, Frank Whipple of Princeton. 

She was preceded by her parents, five sisters, four brothers, two great granddaughters and her husband in 1975.
