John "Tude" Pierceson - 58

Tampico - John F. “Tude” Pierceson, age 58, of 5256 Hickory Hills Rd. Tampico, Illinois died Saturday August 22, 2009 at Walnut Manor Nursing Home in Walnut.

John was born on June 2, 1951in Morrison, Illinois the son of John E. and Florence (Dessing) Pierceson. He was united in marriage to Susan Franks in 1970 and then married Doris Creason in 2004. He farmed in the Tampico area and owned and operated Pierceson Trucking during his lifetime.

He is survived by his wife Doris of Tampico, Illinois; two sons Shannon (Kerri) Pierceson of Sterling, Illinois; Dustin (Tina) Pierceson of Deer Grove, Illinois; two stepsons Rodie (Jessica) Slock of Altus, Oklahoma; Reuben (Jules) Slock of Streamwood, Illinois; seven grandchildren; one brother Marty (Jill) Pierceson of Tampico, Illinois; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild Austin Pierceson.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Tampico. with the Rev. Monty Fox, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Tampico Memorial Cemetery in Tampico. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Tampico.
