Thomas J. Marshall Dies At Freeport

Thomas J. Marshall, 77, of Freeport, a retired attorney and formerly of Tampico, died Monday afternoon of an apparent heart ailment.  He was stricken in a downtown Freeport Store.  

He was born Nov. 26, 1877, in Port Clinton, O., the son of T. J. and Agnes Marshall.  On Oct. 5, 1904, he married Daisy M. Ferris at Tampico. Mr. Marshall practiced law at Tampico.  In 1931 he started service as attorney-credit manager for Furst-McNess Co. and retired in 1951, continuing with the company on a consulting basis.  Surviving are his wife and a sister, Dr. Helen Marshall on the University of Utah faculty at Salt Lake City, Utah.

Christian Science services, read by Clifford Werle, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Walker Mortuary, Freeport.  A Masonic service will also be conducted at the mortuary.  Burial will be in Tampico Memorial Cemetery, Tampico.
