JAMES  ANDERSON

New Bedford: - James (Jim) Anderson, 63, formerly of New Bedford, died at 4 a.m. Monday at the Veteran's Hospital, Tucson, following a short illness.

A family memorial service is being held in Phoenix.  Cremation rites were accorded in Phoenix. Burial will be at a later date at the Greenville-Fairfield Township Cemetery, New Bedford.

Mr. Anderson was born Nov. 23, 1926, the son of Arthur and Katie (Young) Anderson, New Bedford.

He is survived by three sons, Richard, Tucson; Michael and Tom, Phoenix; two daughters, Nancy, Phoenix, Susan, New York; five grandsons; two brothers, a twin William R., Pekin; and Gail, Torrance, Calif. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ronald and Richard.
