ORA LILLIAN (Coates) NOON
The death of Mrs. Thomas Noon occurred last Friday, March 9, after an illness of some length. Funeral services were conducted from the Church of Christ at 2 o'clock P.M. Sunday, March 11 by Reverent F. V. Kearns, pastor assisted by Reverend George Gable, pastor of the Methodist Church and Reverend S. B. Cobb, pastor of the Baptist Church, and interment made in Tampico Cemetery.
Mrs. Thomas Noon was born August 12, 1864 near Bidwell, Gallia County, Ohio, and departed this life March 9, 1923 at the age of 58 years, 6 months and 27 days. Her maiden name of Ora Lillian Coates. She was united in marriage to Thomas Noon, December 19, 1882. Four children were born to their union, Mrs. Samuel T. Hilger of Prophetstown, John of Tampico, Earl of Carvallis, Oregon and Benjamin of Prophetstown. She also leaves 11 grandchildren. Two sisters and four brothers have preceded her in death. Two sisters are still living in the state of Ohio. Mrs. Noon united with the Christian Church at Yorktown in 1894 and was baptized by Reverend W. B. Clemmer. Until moving to Tampico, she resided on the farm 5 1/2 miles southwest of Tampico.
