KENNETH  A.  SIBLEY

Lyndon:  - Kennth A. Sibley, 75, of 706 E. Commercial St., Lyndon, died Oct. 17, 1991 at United Medical Center Hospice, Moline.  Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Gardner Funeral home, Prophetstown, with Steve Hartman, pastor of Lyndon United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Greenville-Fairfield Cemetery, rural New Bedford.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. A memorial has been established.

Mr. Sibley was born Jan. 2, 1916, in Walnut, the son of Frank C. and E. Maude (Arnett) Sibley.  He graduated from Tampico High School.  He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II.  He married Marzata Jacobson Aug. 18, 1945 in Walnut.  They farmed their married life in the Lyndon area and most recently in the Prophetstown community from 1965 until retiring in 1981.  He was a member of the Eshelman-Talley-Doye American Legion Post #1191, Hooppole.  He attended the Lyndon United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Tom (Mary) German, Bettendorf, Iowa; one son, Gary Sibley, Prophetstown; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Elsie Yarde, Rock Falls; Dorothy Roese and Mary Dimond, both of Sterling.  He was preceded in death by two brothers.
