PAULINE E. DORATHY, 93, of Litchfield Park, AZ formerly of Prophetstown, IL died Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Litchfield Park Assisted Living Home in Litchfield Park, AZ.
Pauline was born January 26, 1918 in Morrison, IL, to Claus and Elsie (Dykhuizen) Ottens. She was educated in the rural Whiteside County schools. Pauline married Arlyn J. Dorathy, Sr. on May 29, 1940 in Nashua, IA. He died January 4, 1992. She worked as a cook at the Prophetstown Elementary School and was a bank teller in Prophetstown. She also had been an Avon Representative for several years. Pauline was a member of the Methodist Churches in Prophetstown and Morrison and active in the United Methodist Women group. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathleen (William) Gerveler of Avondale, AZ; seven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one sister, Nora Bush of Urbana, IL and one brother, Stanley Ottens of Mt. Carroll, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlyn; two daughters, Susan Kennedy and Corinne Osborne; one son, Arlyn Dorathy, Jr.; two brothers, John and Ellis Ottens.

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. — Pauline E. Dorathy, 93, of Litchfield Park, formerly of Prophetstown, Ill., died Tuesday, Sept. 20, at Litchfield Park Assisted Living Home in Litchfield Park, AZ.
Funeral services are at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at the Prophetstown United Methodist Church in Prophetstown, IL. The Rev. Thomas Moe, pastor of Prophetstown United Methodist Church in Prophetstown, IL, will officiate. Visitation is at 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at the Prophetstown United Methodist Church in Prophetstown, IL. Interment is at Riverside Cemetery in Prophetstown, IL.
Memorials have been established. The Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home in Prophetstown is in charge of arrangements.
