WALTER BURNHAM FORWARD
Prophetstown: - Walter Burnham Forward, 83-year-old retired farmer, died Thursday in hIs home at 110 Park Ave., Prophetstown, where he had lived since 1937. He was born Dec. 9, 1872 in Prophetstown Township, the son of William and Arabella Burnham Forward. He married Grace Terry of Leon Community on June 25, 1902, in her home.
The couple farmed near Leon until 1930 when the family moved to Lyndon, and later to Prophetstown in 1937. He was a member of the Methodist Church of Prophetstown.
Friends may call at the Gardner Chapel until Sunday at 2:30 p.m. when funeral services will be held in the Methodist Church with Rev. C. F. Chasteen officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Forward is survived by his wife; one son, Elwood Forward, Tampico; two daughters, Mrs. Irvin (Florence) Bishop, Tampico, and Mrs. Neal (Kathlyn) Kimmel, Morrison; a sister, Mrs. Clark Lane, Prophetstown and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and three sisters.
