Kenneth Charles Roman
RICHMOND, Ind. - Kenneth Charles Roman, age 90, died peacefully on April 24, 2012, at Friends Fellowship Community.
Born September 19, 1921, in Prophetstown, Illinois, to Paul and Marie Roman, he was a longtime resident of Northbrook, Illinois. He served in the Army Air Corps as a navigator during World War II. In 1948, Kenneth graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in business. He retired in 1986 from Prentice-Hall after a long and successful career in sales. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Mary Steppe Roman, who died in 2005.
Survivors include his daughters, Kathryn (Jim) Rosenthal of Fort Worth, Texas, and Judith (Dr. James Royer) of Richmond; grandchildren, Andrew Rosenthal, Patrick (Jamie) Rosenthal, Emily Rosenthal, Chris Royer, Dan (Margo) Miller-Royer, Anne (Matt Schultz) Royer, and Jacob Royer; and one great-grandson.
A celebration of Kenneth Roman's life will be held later in Northbrook, Illinois. Doan & Mills Funeral Home is handling local arrangements. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the nurses and staff of Friends Fellowship Community.
