PATRICIA L. STEWART, 68, of 31 Prairie Park Drive, Prophetstown, IL, died Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at CGH Medical Center, Sterling, IL.
Pat was born February 18, 1944 in Sterling, IL, to Lester A. and June I. (Bollman) Larson. She was educated in the rural Whiteside County Grade Schools and was a 1962 graduate of Prophetstown High School. She received a bachelor’s degree from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL. Pat married Larry L. Stewart on February 14, 1987 in Prophetstown, IL. She was employed as a teacher by the Prophetstown School District for 28 years. Later, she worked for the Henry C. Adams Memorial Library in Prophetstown, as head librarian for 15 years. She then was self employed as a seamstress and Longaberger Basket Liner designer. Pat was a member of the Prophetstown United Methodist Church and served as church organist. She was a member of the Prophetstown Lions Club where she served as a board member. She enjoyed interior decorating, sewing, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Larry; one daughter, Rhonda Walker-Reed of Prophetstown, IL; one son, Rod (Kim) Walker of Hooppole, IL; one stepdaughter, Tricia (Tom) Fuller of Minooka, IL; two stepsons, Brian (Sheri) Stewart of Gilberts, IL and Shawn (Julie) Stewart of Shawnee, KS; four grandchildren, Whitney Walker, Samantha Walker, Ashley Reed, and Cody Reed; one great-grandchild, Soran Reed; eight stepgrandchildren, Spencer, Connor, Luke, and Savannah Stewart; Shealee and Bree Stewart; Emma and Dylan Fuller; two sisters, Donna (Don) Drichel of Bloomington, IN and Cheryl (Jerry) Thede of Prophetstown, IL; and one brother, John Larson of Prophetstown, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
