MOLINE -- Services for William H. Poe, Moline, formerly of Tampico, Ill., will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal, with military services by Moline American Legion post 246. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Poe died Friday, Aug. 24, 2001, at Illini Hospital, Silvis, Ill. He was employed as an electrician at Northwestern Steel and Wire, Sterling. He retired in 1990 after 32 years there. He also was employed as a deputy sheriff for Whiteside County. He was born Aug. 8, 1938, in Sterling, Ill. He married Louise Warner in 1991 in Tampico. During the Korean War, he served in the Navy on the USS Danber CV 61. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association. Survivors include his wife, Louise; a daughter, Sherry Colliatte, Mulvan, Kan.; a stepdaughter, Diana Price, Wichita Falls, Texas; stepsons, Walt Warner of California, and Kurt Warner, Moline; two grandsons; five step-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Kimball, Sterling.
