OBITUARIES
HARRY A. MARSHANG SUCCUMBS MONDAY
Harry A. Marshang, 81, 511 11th Avenue, Sterling, passed away Monday morning at the Orchard Glenn Nursing Home in Dixon.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Sept. 28, at 1:30 p.m. at the Allen Funeral Home in Sterling with the Reverend David Fouts, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Sterling, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Cemetery, Sterling. Friends may call at the Allen Funeral Home in Sterling after 9 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
Harry A. Marshang was born in sterling on Oct. 30, 1889, son of Henry and Della Leseman Marshang. He was united in marriage to the former Vera Miller who preceded him in death on March 26, 1960. He worked as a tool and dye maker at First Dearborn in Rock Falls until his retirement. He was a member of Fidelity Life Workers.
Mr. Marshang is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Earl (Helen) McNeil, and Mrs. Arnold (Jeanne) Burch both of Sterling; one son, Lyle, Sterling; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ra North, Torrence, Calif. And one half brother, Arthur Trego, Rock Falls.
He was preceded in death by his wife and parents and one sister.

FUNERALS
HARRY A. MARSHANG – Funeral services were conducted by the Allen Funeral Home for Harry A. Marshang of 511, llth Avenue, Sterling at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday with the Rev. David Fouts, pastor of the ‘first Methodist Church of Sterling, officiating.
Burial was in Oak Knoll Cemetery. Mrs. Roscoe Eades was organist. Flowers were cared for by Swartley’s truck.
Pallbearers were Robert Haag, Leroy Hendricks, Allen Marshang, William McEvoy and Lyle Williamson.
