Tampico - Helen Claire Buckley, age 79, of Tampico, Illinois died Friday June 21, 2013 surrounded by her family at home.

Helen was born on December 28, 1933 in Tampico, Illinois the daughter of Dean and Kathryn (Brophy) Forward. She was united in marriage to John Buckley. She operated Helen’s Beauty Shop in Tampico for over 50 years. She enjoyed flowers, horses and music.

She is survived by her husband John Buckley of Tampico, Illinois; one daughter Julie “Bruce” Dexter of Tampico, Illinois; four step-children Nancy, Steve, Amy and Cindy; numerous grandchildren including Jerry Bradley of Carbondale, Illinois and Christine Bradley of Salt Lake City, Utah.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two sons Jerry and Buddy Bradley and one brother Terry Forward.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Tampico. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Tampico.
