Tampico - Ora E. Newman, age 91, of Tampico, Illinois died Thursday, November 28, 2013 at Prophets Good Samaritan Center in Prophetstown, Illinois.

Ora was born on November 19, 1922 in Tampico, Illinois the son of Victor E. and Letha (Larson) Newman. He was united in marriage to Bonnie Kiner on August 2, 1946 in Whiteside County in Illinois. She preceded him in death on May 19, 1980. Ora graduated from Tampico High School. He was a self-employed farmer in the Tampico area since 1946 and was a rancher in Oregon during his lifetime

He is survived by one son Martin Newman of Tampico, Illinois; six daughters, Betty Frank (Bonnie Miles) of Lyndon, Illinois, Bridget (Stan) Loudenburg of Prophetstown, Illinois; Beth (Brian) Sonnenberg of Prophetstown, Illinois, Beda (Larry) Walzer of Sterling, Illinois, Babette Dean of Winfield, Illinois, Betina (Dell) Hummel of Naperville, Illinois, 20 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son Mark, three brothers Vernon, Warren, and Keith.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. at Garland Funeral Home in Tampico Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Prophetstown, Illinois with Isaac Newman, officiating. Condolences may be sent to www.garlandfuneralhome.com.
