Tampico - Helen D. Oldham, age 98, of Sterling, Illinois, died Saturday September 28th, 2013 at Coventry Village in Sterling, Illinois.

Helen was born on March 4th, 1915 in Zearing, Illinois, the daughter of Magnus and Freida (Elliason) Olson. She was united in marriage to John Oldham on December 14th, 1945 in Princeton, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 6th, 2003. She was a homemaker all her life and loved to knit for “Knit For Kids”.

She is survived by one daughter Nadine Oldham of Sterling, Illinois; one son Arthur (Diane) Oldham of Tampico, Illinois; one granddaughter Renee Robinson of Arizona; two great grandchildren Samantha and Andrew, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandson Cory, one brother Richard and one sister Hazel.

A private graveside service will be held on Friday, October 4th at 10:00 a.m. at the Greenville-Fairfield Cemetery in New Bedford, Illinois, with Butch McNinch officiating. Cremation rites were accorded. A memorial has been established in her memory to Happy Tails in Rock Falls, Illinois. Condolences may be sent to www.garlandfuneralhome.com.
