Helen W Nicely, 88 of Prophets Good Samaritan Center in Prophetstown formerly of Tampico died Thursday, June19, 2003 at Good Samaritan Center. She and her husband operated Ronald Reagan's Birthplace in Tampico, and she was an independent reporter of several newspapers during her lifetime. She was a longtime board member of Tampico Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Nicely was born Jan 2, 1915 in Tampico, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Riley Woods. She was a 1932 graduate of Tampico High School. She married on Dec. 19, 1959 in Tampico to Otis Paul Nicely who preceded her in death. Survivors include three nieces and several great- great-great –nieces and nephew.
