IDA M. (Holtz) BRUDER

Mrs. Ida M. Bruder, 97, 213 Freemont St., Tampico, died Friday afternoon in Community General Hospital after a short illness.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Garland Funeral Home, Tampico, with the Rev. David Beebe, pastor of the First Christian Church, Rock Falls, officiating. Burial will be in Yorktown Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Garland Funeral Home, Tampico. A memorial has been established in her memory.

Ida Bruder was born on Nov. 22, 1886 in Walnut, the daughter of Carl and Johanah Ott Holtz. She was united in marriage to Adolph Bruder on Dec. 19, 1906 and he preceded her in death on Dec. 22, 1955. She was educated in the Walnut schools and she and her husband farmed near Tampico for 20 years before moving to Tampico in 1938. She was a member of the Tampico Home Bureau for the past 16 years and a member of the Missionary of Need and the Tampico Church of Christ.

Surviving are two sons, Lawrence Bruder, Rock Falls, and Raymond Bruder, Tampico; four daughters, Mrs. John (Dorothy) Buyers, Rock Falls, Mrs. Charles (Eula) Chriest, Bernadine Bruder, and Mrs. Henrietta Taets, all of Tampico; 27 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, one son Vernon Bruder, one son and one daughter in infancy, one sister and one brother.
