PATTY FRITSCH, 77 TAMPICO - Patty Fritsch, 77, of Tampico died Tuesday. Garland Funeral Home is assisting the family.

TAMPICO – Patty Fritsch, 77, of Tampico, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at her home.

Patty was born Aug. 5, 1936, the daughter of William and Gertrude (Johnson) Tornow. She was united in marriage to Gary Fritsch on Aug. 19, 1956. She worked at Harper Wyman of Sterling for 9 years and Sterling Multi Products in Prophetstown for 3 years. Patty was a member of Tampico Church of Christ.

She is survived her husband, Gary Fritsch of Tampico; two sons, Tom (Melodie) Fritsch of Tampico and Rod (Ronda) Fritsch of Rockford; three grandchildren, Traci (Ben) Sandrock, Terra (Joe) Wittenauer, and Emily Fritsch; five great-grandchildren; one brother, George (Nancy) Tornow of Tampico; one sister, Delores Cassens of Polo; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death her parents; one son, Corey Fritsch, in 1972; and one brother, Donald Tornow.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Tampico Memorial Cemetery, with the Rev. Paul Laird, pastor of Tampico Church of Christ, officiating. Garland Funeral Home in Tampico is handling arrangements.
