Dorothy M. Johnson (1933 - 2014)

Dorothy M. Johnson, age 81, of Sterling, IL, died Friday, November 7, 2014, at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Morrison, IL.

Dorothy was born June 29, 1933, in Woodson, IL, the daughter of Burrus and Hazel (Dyche) White. She married Robert H. Johnson on August 27, 1949, in Walnut, IL. He preceded her in death on March 25, 1995. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include eight children, Dennis (Mardel) Johnson of Sterling, Bobby Johnson of San Jose, CA, Vickie (Lloyd) Mackey of Manteca, CA, Debbie (Mike) Cook of Tampico, IL, Karleen (Tom) Crawford of Morrison, Terry (Donna) Johnson of Rochelle, IL, Barb (Ed) Simmons of Oneonta, AL, and Chris (Cassi) Johnson of Rock Falls, IL; one sister, Marge (Bernard) Holler of Eau Clair, WI; three brothers, Robert (Carol) White of Belgrade, MT, Charles (Jo) White of Walnut, and Jim White of Foley, AL; 25 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one sister, Margaret Hardy; one granddaughter.

The services will be private.

A memorial has been established to the Alzheimer's Association.
