Walnut - Marie R. Wright, age101, of Mount Morris, Illinois and formerly of Tampico and Rock Falls, Illinois died Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Pinecrest Manor in Mount Morris.
Marie was born on May 23 1913 in Buda, Illinois the daughter of Samuel and JuRendy (Underwood) Purvis. She was united in marriage to Albert Wright in June 1929. He preceded her in death in August 1972. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching and reading. Marie also enjoyed needle point, embroidering and crocheting. 
She is survived by one son Gene (Carol) Wright of Savanna, Illiniois; one daughter in law Susan Wright of Mount Morris, Illinois; nine grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and two great- great grandchildren; one brother Merle Purvis of Princeton, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son Harold Wright, 1 brother, five sisters and two great grandchildren.
A Time of Sharing will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut. Burial will be in Walnut Cemetery. A memorial has been established in lieu of flowers. Condolences may be sent to: www.garlandfuneralhome.com.
