Tampico - Arthur F. Radake, age 79, of Tampico, Illinois died Friday, February 27, 2015 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.
Art was born on February 28, 1935 in Scheller, Illinois the son of Joseph and Mary (Glupczynski) Ratajczyk. He was united in marriage to Donna Bruder on October 6, 1962 in Tampico, Illinois. He worked for Frantz Manufacturing for forty years and owned and operated Radake Sanitation.
He is survived by his wife Donna Radake of Tampico, Illinois; The Radake girls LeAnn (Kevin) Murk of Monmouth, Illinois; Mary Jo (Brian) Bender of Tampico, Illinois; Lisa Radake Hinrichsen of Tampico, Illinois; Becki (Brian Strike) Gallentine of Prophetstown, Illinois; eight grandchildren; one brother Raymond Ratajczyk of Columbia, Illinois; one sister Francis Witoski of Ashley, Illinois; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tampico with Deacon Bill Lemmer, officiating. Burial will be in Yorktown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. A memorial has been established to Illinois School for the Deaf in Jacksonville, Illinois.
