T. L. Britt died at his home in this city, Tuesday morning, March 31st, 1896, aged about 68 years.

Thomas Laton Britt was born in Penn., July 13, 1828. On December 30, 1848, he was married to Susan L. Wright and to them were born nine children, all of whom with their mother remain to mourn the loss of the departed.

The funeral took place at the M. E. church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Geo. A. Wells officiating, assisted by Rev. H. A. Hoover, and the remains were interred in the Tampico Cemetery. The sorrowing wife and children have the sympathy of the entire community in this their sad bereavement.
