Betty Crane was born July 24, 1925, in Westside, Iowa, the daughter of George and Zela (Brasel) Zimmer. Betty married John Crane on Nov. 6, 1944. He preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 1992.
Survivors include two sons, Denny (Mary) Crane of Prophetstown and Darrell (Ruth) Crane of Henderson, Colorado; a daughter, Janice (LeRoy) Reinhart of Circleville, Ohio; a brother, Duane (Vanessa) Zimmer of Schleswig, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Betty Zimmer of Boyer, Iowa; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Gibson-Bode Funeral Home in Erie. A private graveside service will be at a later date at St. Anne Cemetery in Vail, Iowa.

PROPHETSTOWN – Elizabeth J. “Betty” Crane, 91, of Prophetstown, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, at Good Samaritan Society Prophets Riverview in Prophetstown. She was a manager at the bowling alley in Maquoketa, Iowa.
