TAMPICO - Jeremy G. "Chet" Forward
Chet was born Oct. 3, 1976, in Princeton, the son of Jeffrey Forward and Elaine (Gustafson) Forward.
He graduated from Tampico High School, Class of 1995. Chet lived in Tampico all his life. He farmed and enjoyed raising cattle. He ran his own trucking company, Jeremy Forward Trucking, for the past 10 years.
He is survived by his mother, Elaine Forward of Sterling; his girlfriend, Ryan DeBrock of Tampico; three sisters, Wendy (Chris) Andersen of Aurora, Stephanie (Greg) Wetzell of Prophetstown and Jennifer Forward of Rock Falls; one brother, David (Brandy) Forward of Simsbury, Conn.; his maternal grandmother, Shirley Forward; Ryan’s mother, Billi DeBrock of Wyanet; Ryan’s sister, Nikki Johnson of Manlius; his nieces and nephews, Katie and Kody Wetzell, Weston and Natalie Forward, Haley and Claire Andersen, Logan and Leigha Johnson, and Rylan Schiedel; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and he and Ryan’s dog, Morgan.
He was preceded in death by his father; his paternal grandfather, George Forward, Jr.; and his maternal grandparents, Raymond and Dorothy Gustafson.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tampico with the Rev. Richard Russo as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Tampico.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut, where a rosary will be recited at 3:45 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Yorkville and Tampico Fire Department.
