William "Bill" J. Wolff, 72, of Deer Grove, IL, died Monday, July 10, 2017, at the CGH Medical Center, Sterling, IL.
Bill was born February 23, 1945, in Dixon, IL; the son of Aloys M. and Lucille M. (Dupuis) Wolff. He married Judith A. Taylor on April 15, 1972, in Rockford, IL. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He was employed by National Manufacturing, Sterling, IL for 34 years, from 1970 to 2004.
Bill was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church in Sterling, and the St. Mary Catholic Church in Tampico. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Andrew Catholic Church, Rock Falls and Cursillos in Christianity. Bill was also a past President of the Tampico Lion's Club. He also enjoyed reading, wood working and loved to cook.
Survivors include his wife, Judy of Deer Grove, IL; two daughters, Melissa (Christy Wetzell) Wolff of Rock Falls, IL, and Rebecca Wolff of Deer Grove, IL; one son, David (Jennifer) Wolff of Northfield, MN; and two grandchildren, Nathan and Rachel Wolff.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 PM, Sunday, July 16, 2017, in the McDonald Funeral Home, Rock Falls, IL. The rosary will be recited at 1:30 P.M. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, July 17, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. in the St. Mary Catholic Church, Sterling, IL, with Reverend Richard Kramer officiating. Burial will be at the Oakwood Cemetery, Dixon, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Cursillos in Christianity.
