Donald W. Scott, 86, of Prophetstown, died Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. He was a custodian at Prophetstown High School.
Donald was born June 15, 1932, in Prophetstown, to Ward and Areta M. (Bane) Scott. He married Norma M. Olinger in 1979. She died Aug. 20, 2002.
Survivors include one stepson, Michael (Beth) Olinger of Prophetstown; a stepgrandson, two step-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Paul Dean Scott of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
He also was preceded in death by his parents and one stepson, Perry Olinger.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no visitation. Private graveside service and internment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Prophetstown. Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home in Prophetstown is handling arrangements.
