Joyce A. Sandrock, age 77, of Sterling, died on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Rock River Hospice and Home in Sterling.

Joyce was born on March 25, 1942 in Morrison the daughter of Chester and Alfa (Johnson) Wolber. She was united in marriage to Larry Sandrock on April 23, 1961 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Yorktown. He preceded her in death on July 17, 2013.

Joyce worked at Walnut Manor as a CNA for many years until her retirement.

Those left to honor her memory include a son Kevin (Dorie) Sandrock of Rock Falls; a daughter Kayla Link of Princeton; five grandchildren, Alexis Ewald, Kourtnie Link, Dustin (Lisa) Sandrock, Richard Link, Jr. and Jon Link; two great granddaughters, Kinze Marie Hope Sandrock and Lillian Link; her sisters Carol Spears, Alverta Habben and Donna Jean.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 3 sisters, Jenilee Kulas, Lois Richmond and Barbara DeWald; a brother in infancy; and a son-in-law Richard Link.

Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Tuesday, April 2 at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. The funeral will be at 10 AM Wednesday, April 3 at the funeral home with Pastor Jeremy McLaughlin, officiating. Private family burial will be at Yorktown Cemetery in Tampico. A memorial has been established.
