Timothy J. Church, age 59, of Tampico, died Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.
Tim was born December 8, 1958 in Sterling the son of Ronnie and Mary (Rude) Church. He married Lisa Scanlan on September 19, 1981 in Prophetstown. Tim was employed at ComEd for 32 years, Mitchell Melons all his life and Zaagman Farms part time. He volunteered his time with the Tampico Fire Department and the Village of Tampico. He enjoyed playing many sports throughout his life, watching the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs, hunting, fishing and loved vacationing with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa of Tampico; his parents, Ronnie and Mary of Tampico; one son, Bradley Church; two daughters, Jessie (Trent) Lindskog and Samantha (Brett Nowack) Church; one grandson, Parker; one sister, Ronda (Rod) Fritsch; one brother, Scotty (Natalie) Church; mother and father-in-law, Larry and Peggy Scanlan; two sisters-in-law, Rhonda (Bill) Schauff and Kelly (Craig) Hagel; one brother-in-law, Marty Scanlan; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and aunts.
Timmy/Rooster was preceded in death by many special people including his grandparents, cousins, uncles and aunts.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Memorial services will be Monday, November 19, 2018 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home with Butch McNinch officiating. Burial will be at Tampico Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the Tampico Fire Department and the Tampico Ambulance service.
