DEATH OF LEWIS CARTWRIGHT
Lewis CARTWRIGHT one of the old citizens of Thomas and a well known residient of that community died at his home there last week Thrusday.
The funeral was held at the late residence in Thomas last Saturday afternoon, Ed. Miles BROWNRIGG pastor of the Christian chruch here officiating, assisted by the Farifield Male Quartet. The pall bearers were Charles ROGER, T. A. DRAYTON, Otto JOHNSON, John OLSON, James THOMPSON and Byron HOGEBOOM. There was a beautiful display of floral offerings. Interment was in the Tampico cemetery.
Lewis CARTWRIGHT was born in Gosen, Ind., Spet. 22, 1850 and came to Illinois at the age of six years settling in Fairfield township where he resided ever since. He was married in Dixon Nov., 10, 1906 to Mrs. Emma KOHN. He leaves his wife, one sister and several near relatives.
