Lucille Bollenbach
Lucille Elizabeth Bollenbach, 94, of Tampico died Saturday, June 17, 2006, at Good Samaritan Center, Prophetstown.
Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Garland Funeral Home, Tampico. Burial is in Tampico Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is 9:30 a.m. to services.
She was born July 13, 1911, in Bradford, Ill., to Harvey and Mary Anderson Grubb. She married Ronald Bollenbach July 13, 1935*. He died Dec. 17, 1988.
She taught in the public schools for 51 years and tutored for nine to 10 years in her home after retiring.
She was a lifetime member of NEA and a board member of the Tampico Historical Society. She was on the Tampico Cemetery board and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
She is survived by many friends and former students.
*Note: Students who had Miss Grubb as a teacher state that the marriage date is incorrect. Possibly 1945

Lucille E. Bollenbach
Lucille Elizabeth Bollenbach, age 94, of 205 S. Main Street, Tampico, Illinois died Saturday, June 17, 2006, at the Good Samaritan Center in Prophetstown, IL.
She was born on July 13, 1911 in Bradford, IL, the daughter of Harvey Milton and Mary Ann (Anderson) Grubb. She was united in marriage to Ronald C. Bollenbach on July 13, 1935 and he preceded her in death on December 17, 1988. She received her BA degree from Illinois Wesleyan University and her MA-ED from the University of Illinois. She taught in the public schools for 51 years and tutored for 9 -10 years in her home after retiring. She was a lifetime member of NEA and a board member for the Tampico Historical Society. She was on the Tampico Cemetery board and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
She is survived by many friends and former students.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Garland Funeral Home in Tampico with Pastor Pearle Lange officiating. Burial was in Tampico Memorial Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her memory to the Tampico Memorial Cemetery and the Tampico Historical Society.
