DEATH OF A GOOD WOMAN
Mrs. Alfred GRAHAM Died Last Monday After Three Years of Sickness
Mrs. Alfred J. GRAHAM died at her home, about five miles southeast of Tampico, last Sunday morning, November 8, 1903, after an illness of dropsy lasting nearly three years. The funeral has held at St. Mary's chruch, of which the deceased was a faithful member, Monday at 10:30 a.m., Rev. P.J. WEBER officiating. A large number of sorrowing friends followed the remains to their last resting place in the Catholic cemetery, six of the people acting as pall bearers.
Mary Josephine WISELY was born near Sheffield, Ill., May 1, 1860 and lived in that vicinity until her marriage to Alfred GRAHAM February 17, 1884. The bereaved husband and one son, Leo, mourn the death of a good wife and mother. A little girl, Francis, died in infancy. She also leaves two sister and two brothers, Mrs. Xxx McMAHON of Fort Dodge, IA, Mrs. Julia MAHER of Peoria, Ill., Edwin WISLEY and David WISLEY of Sheffield, Ill. Her father and a sister, Mrs. Ann BURDEN, passed away about xx years ago.
Mrs. GRAHAM was a true woman in every way. Her cheerful, courage and Christian life in the midst of many ills and infirmities was a xxdiction to all who came in contact with it. She was well known to a good many Tampico people and none knew her but loved her. Her's was a thoroughly true, and conscientious life, ever willing to do all in her power to any good cause, loyal to the work of the church, to her family and to her friends. The world is better for her having lived in it and there was many who sincerely mourn that she was soon called away. The memory of Mrs. GRAHAM will live long in the hearts of her friends. A good woman has passed to receive her reward.M
