ED ANDERBURG TAKEN BY DEATH
Funeral services for Ed Anderburg were held Tuesday afternoon at the Parent chapel with Rev. Paul Burdick of the Erie Church of Christ officiating. Two fvorite himns, "Take Up Thy Cross: and "The Old Rugged Cross" were sung by Mrs. Archie YARDE Sr. and Miss Juanita PRATT, accompanied by Mrs. Neva DENISON.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl RASMUSSEN and Mr. and Mrs. August BRANDAU were in charge of the floral offerings.
Burial was in the Tampico Memorial cemetery. Pallbearers wwere Dale and Everett ENGLEBART of Anamosa, Ia., John and Archie CLARK of Sublett, Robert FORWARD of Dixon and George FORWARD, Jr. of Tampico.
Edward H ANDERBURG was born Oct. 24, 1872 at Des Moines, Iowa, son of Nels and Mary ANDERBURG. He made his home in Walnut and later in this community. He was engineer of the Hooppole, Yorktown and Tampico Railroad for a number of years.
He passed away Saturday evening in the Perry Memorial hospital at Princeton after being in poor health for several years.
He is survived by a son, Everett, of Anamosa, Ia.; and six daughters, Mrs. Emil HAMER (Norma) of Anamosa, Ia., Mrs. Esther ENGLEBART of Amber, Ia., Mrs. Archie CLARK (Myrle) of Sublett, Mrs. George FORWARD (Darlene) of Dixon, Mrs. Ed DRESS (Florence) of Galesburg and Leona DRESS of Sublett, all of whom adtended the services. He is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Sydney FORDHAM of Walnut, Mrs. John LEWIS of Plainfield, and Eddie ANDERBURG of Marselles; 21 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
