OBITUARY
Mrs. Eleanor Lane passsed away at her home, 55 N. Chester Ave., Pasadena, Calif., Oct. 19, 1941. She was born Aug. 16, 1856, at Farmington, Ill., daughter of William and Elizabeth Montgomery.
After her marriage to William W. Lane they resided on the farm now owned by John Yonk west of Yorktown. In 1889 they moved to Yorktown and conducted the store that Carl Stenros now occupies, until 1894 when they moved to Chicago. In 1907 they moved to Pasadena, Calif., where they spent their remaining days. She joined the Pasadena Presbyterian church in 1928. Her illness started almost two years ago but she was confined to bed only the last ten days of here life.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Reuben P. Underwood of Pasadena, with whom she made her home. Her husband, three sisters, Anna, Mrs. J. E. Bunker and Mrs. James Fulton and one brother William Montgomery, preceded her in death. She was the beloved aunt of B. C. Bunker and Mrs. Matie Greenwood of Tampico.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, Oct. 22, in Memory Chapel, 100 North Hill Ave., Dr. James Leishman of the Pasadena Presbyterian church officiating.
