Obituary

Ina Lane, daughter of Charles and Susan (Wroten) Lane, was born in Hume township, June 30, 1880, and died Feb. 18, 1929, at the age of 48 years, 7 months and 17 days. She was married to Charles Herbon Feb. 19, 1900, with whom she worked and toiled for 29 years, never faltering, always with a cherry word and resolute way through all the ups and downs of life.

She was a home woman, her thoughts being for the welfare and pleasure of family and friends. Never was she too busy to lay all aside and throw open her home for the pleasure of children and friends.

She leaves to mourn their loss, her husband and seven children: Marion Olsson of Tampico, Florence, Robert, Lee, Burt, Stanley and Susie, all at home. Betty Jane died in infancyi. Two sisters, Mrs. Mary Schutt, Mrs. Ida Hollis, and two brothers, Roy Lane and Grover Lane, all in the vicinity of Rock Falls, and a host of relatives and friends. Truly her children can arise and call her blessed and truly the world is better for her having lived in it.
